I wish I lived here

Winter and a bit of a writer's block seems to have set in. Well that's my excuse for not writing anyway. Till things thaw, here's a wonderful series by American cartoonist, Chris Ware that's been appearing in The Independent called Building Stories. Read this too.

Enjoy.

Interesting. Good to know Ware has a new book on the way. Strong shades of Georges Perec with this one though - in fact, I'm surprised he doesn't mention him.

Ware will have an old home month in February. He's opening Chris Ware at Sheldon Gallery in Lincoln, Nebraska. The show focuses on his graphic novel in-progess, Rusty Brown, set in Omaha, his hometown.

Great coverage of shoes and fashion. And, it pays handsomely after lotsa of hard work!

Ah, very nice. Got a chance to watch Ware's art on stage when he did a show with Ira Glass last year - based on a this american life story about old buildings...

think the boundaries between graphic novels and comics get trespassed more often these days, as it is gets more mainstream.
