For rainy days

It seems I have missed the best of Spring. Lovely, sunny weather right up until I arrive from Dallas and then nothing but grey skies, rain and blustery winds. But this kind of weather is only awful when you're sitting inside and staring through a rain pounded window that trembles and groans. If you slip in to your raincoat (nothing with Noddy or Winnie the Pooh on it please) and head out for a walk it really isn't so bad. The tree branches are heavy with freshly minted leaves and rain, the air is wonderfully crisp and so fresh it seems brand new(no mann vaasanai - but one can't have everything) and then you hit shuffle on your I-pod and the strains of this song wash over you. Even Nizhalgal Ravi running in a dodgy red shirt can't take away from the beauty of the song.

P.S What's the heroine's name? She's gorgeous.

One IR fan site mentions her name as "Radhu". There is a mention on TFMpage for someone called "Rohini" too, on a discussion about Nizhalgal's background score.

When the movie was released, she was introduced as "Rohini", keeping in with the (heroine's name beginning with 'R') sentiment of Bharathi Raja. It's possible she changed it to Radhu later.

No but she is definitely not Ashwini.

I think her name's Radhu. I vaguely remember going to her house before she started acting to hand her mother a weddding invitation. This really pretty and bubbly girl was sitting on the floor painting her toe nails red. The last I heard she got married and went to the U.S.

Welcome back. It's hard for me-coping with the greyness after the sunshine. She is pretty.

Hadn't heard of this song before. But from the start you know it's Ilayaraja's. Simply brilliant!

sorry meant rohini, they are all stars (pun int) anyway ;-)

That was her screen name, radhu being her original I think.

Rohini, no? She was our Sudha teacher's sister. And then I heard that Sudha teacher ran away with an autorickshaw man leaving her husband (who used to work in our school office) to look after their twin boys and daughter. The boys were called Rama and Lakshmana. I met one of them years later. He was married by then.
Yes, rains do get you down.
